DU notes and a rest day

I went to the DU info session last night. I have some additional research to complete before making my application and beginning their program. I need to verify the Corporate Reimburshment Policy on the topic of annual allowance and contrast that with the cost of tuition and number of courses per year I might take. Then I should investigate another institution and compare it with the DU program in terms of cost, schedule, location, estimated time to complete and curriculum. Only then can I make a decision.

Today is my day off from exercise. I’ve selected the odd day of the week (Thursday) because of a work schedule committment. It works for me, so no complaints.

Swimming and School

I swam a 2200 yd workout this morning in 50:08.
This is what I did.
Warm-up 500
5×100 (20 sec rest in-between)
5×75 (15 sec rest in-between)
5×50 (10 sec rest in-between)
5×25 (5 sec rest in-between)
5×50 (Swim, Kick, Fist, Kick, Swim)
Cool-down 200

I’m going down to the University of Denver tonight from 6-8 pm to sit in an information session about completing my BA degree. Yes I’m slow at doing this. No my career has not suffered because of this. The bottom line is I made a commitment to myself to do this, and I don’t care if I’m in my 50’s when I’m done, but I will finish it. I’m going down to DU because of a recent Corporate Policy change regarding accreditation which prohibits employees being reimbursed for attending some less reputable schools. The school I attended in 1999-2000 is an approved institution for their Engineering programs, but not for their Business programs.

Amanda got her braces off yesterday. Her teeth look great. I hope to get a photo up soon.
